The Role

We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing design team to take their career to the next level. In this role, you'll lead and deliver civil engineering components for a range of infrastructure projects — from roads and subdivisions to major transport corridors and cycleway upgrades.

We're looking a proactive, detail-oriented engineer with a passion for good design and teamwork. You're confident managing projects independently, enjoy mentoring others and discussing solutions with clients.

You'll work collaboratively with project managers, designers, drafters, and other engineers, guiding projects through concept, detailed design, and construction phases.

You will also have the opportunity with us to diversify your skills and develop a more rounded understanding of all aspects of civil infrastructure design. With us, there are no limitations on the potential you can achieve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver civil design packages
  • Use of OpenRoads and/or 12d (or similar) to develop and communicate solutions to our clients.
  • Prepare and review design documentation, reports, and calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with local council and MRWA / Austroads standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Support project management activities including fee proposals, schedules, and client liaison.
  • Develop, build and grow new and existing client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in civil and drainage design.
  • Chartered with Engineers Australia (or working towards achieving this).
  • An understanding of hydrology and hydraulics, and demonstrated history of delivering drainage designs would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in the use of digital design software packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management experience
