Two Leading Hands are required to join our QLD Regional Transport South Coast Team, supporting Roads and Pavements projects. This is a full-time position based in Stapylton with local travel.

As the Senior Leading Hand, you will oversee pavement and drainage building works, provide site supervision, manage leading hands, subcontractors, and your own crew. You will ensure safe work practices, meet KPIs, and promote a strong safety culture. Duties include:
- Manage site quality assurance and conformance activities
- Engage with TMR inspectorial counterparts including Traffic Management Centre
- Monitor resource utilization, materials, and budgets to ensure value for money
- Monitor performance and efficiency, suggesting improvements
- Plan and schedule work to meet timelines, organize tasks with a two-week lookahead
- Lead and support your team, promote whole-of-life cycle asset management
You must demonstrate previous experience in a similar role or civil roads experience, with:
- White card
- Current driver's license
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Experience in planning, organizing, and reading plans/drawings
- Traffic management knowledge
Preferred but not essential: relevant qualifications/tickets such as Cert IV Construction Supervision, Cert IV Training and Assessment, Traffic Control Licence, plant tickets, HR driver's license.
