About the role

Are you driven by the opportunity to lead meaningful change and elevate customer experiences? This role sits within the Deposits team in Country Banking Australia and offers a unique chance to shape the future of our deposits business. You'll play a key role in executing our strategic roadmap, driving simplification and automation of processes, and ensuring consistent service delivery across the department. As a subject matter expert, you'll represent Deposits in critical projects, lead improvement initiatives, and influence policy, procedure, and technology decisions. This is a dynamic position where your contributions will directly impact the end-to-end customer journey and help deliver smarter, more efficient banking solutions.

The key responsibilities and accountabilities of this role are to: Analysis & Solution Definition
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to elicit and analyse business needs and challenges.

  • Review and refine requirements, specifications, business processes, and solution recommendations.

  • Develop functional and system design specifications to support business line engagements.

  • Translate business demand into actionable solutions, proposing improvements based on best practices.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and strategic alignment.

Strategy & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses across the Deposits business and recommend areas for enhancement.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of digital strategies, business plans, and budgets.

  • Establish feedback loops with clients to adapt service offerings to evolving customer needs.

  • Champion initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and advocacy.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant bank policies, including Audit, Compliance, and Business Continuity.

  • Support the Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals and adhere to CSR policies.

Project & Initiative Execution
  • Enforce project timelines and schedules, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes.

  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively into project deliverables.

  • Maintain fiscal discipline across projects and initiatives.

  • Represent Deposits in strategic programs and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as directed to support business objectives.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Extensive understanding of the Deposits industry, including core processes and customer lifecycle management.

  • Strong awareness of risk management principles and the regulatory obligations within financial services

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver projects effectively, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

  • Capacity to build and apply knowledge of the AgTech industry to support strategic initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy.

  • Highly proactive, adaptable, and flexible in approach to work and problem-solving.

  • Skilled in developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.

  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to provide supervision and mentorship when required.

  • Project management and written communication skills
