What You'll Be Doing

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced ITSM CMDB admin and Change Management Coordinator ready to advance their career. In this role, you will manage the CMDB to ensure accuracy of information. You will oversee change requests, maintain configuration baselines, and apply ITIL-based best practices. You will also assist with Change Management as the Change Management Coordinator and progress your career by back filling the Change Manager from time to time.

There is also a career building opportunity with a rotational on call opportunity to assist in the management of major incidents and learn the Major Incident Management process. As the first point of contact for these services you will need to excellent customer service with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the development and maintenance of effective configuration management system to track the agreed IT configuration items across the organisation.
  • Take responsibility for consistence and accuracy of the CMDB and Asset register
  • Define and champion configuration management processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy of configuration data, IT systems and components.
  • Support Asset Stocktake and Audit activities of IT assets to verify the accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies.
  • Support the effective delivery and execution of IT Service Management practices by external suppliers and internal teams.
  • Take responsibility for the coordination of the Change Management process, and the quality of the changes submitted to CAB
  • Preparation of the CAB agenda and communication the CAB outcomes and maintain the forward schedule of change.
  • Manage the CAB meeting ensuring all stakeholders necessary for the meeting are invited and present.
  • Assist in the support of Major Incident Management rotationally after hours.

What Will Make You Successful In This Role- Expertise :

  • Demonstrated experience working with IT Asset and Configuration Management Practice
  • Demonstrated experience working with the ITIL Change Management Practice
  • Demonstrated experience working in and configuring ServiceNow IT Asset Management System
  • Demonstrated experience working in and configuring IT Configuration Management Databases (CMDB, ServiceNow)
  • Strong understanding of IT service operations principles, focusing on IT configuration and asset management
  • Customer Service : Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with non-technical users.
  • Analytical Thinking : Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues logically.
  • Team Collaboration : A collaborative mindset and a willingness to work with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience: Experience with Change management and Major Incident Management
  • Certifications : ITIL v4 Foundation highly desirable
