The Role & The Team
Reporting to the Senior Policy Advisor, Government Relations in the Government Regulatory and International Engagement Branch you will work collaboratively with staff across Airservices to assist with the management and coordination of government relations activities across a range of functions.

With no two days the same, you will provide high quality administrative support contributing to the team's work through effective and highly polished organisation and communication skills. Your expertise in coordinating advice, briefs, submissions, and correspondence, along with your ability to share information on government policy and regulation, is key to your success.

The Person
Your significant relationships include the Office of the CEO, senior leaders, subject matter experts, and executives. You will work closely with external stakeholders including but not limited to the Department of Infrastructure, the Public Works Committee secretariat, the Rural and Regional Affairs Committee secretariat, Department of Finance, and the offices of federal parliamentarians.

The Skills And Competencies Required Include

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative, manage priorities and work independently.

  • Experience working in or with a government department or a regulatory agency is highly desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to manage high workloads, set priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively and flexible to changing circumstances and priorities
  • Proven ability to establish strategic relationships to deliver outcomes
  • Experience in working with different organisational cultures and in geographically dispersed programs.
