Role Description

This is an internship role for a Human Resources (HR) Intern. The selected candidate will assist the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks and gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and performance management. The HR Intern will support HR initiatives, assist with onboarding processes, help organize employee records, and contribute to the improvement of HR systems and practices.

Key responsibilities include scheduling interviews, processing employee documentation, assisting with payroll preparation, maintaining employee records, and supporting HR projects. The HR Intern will also participate in training sessions, help organize employee engagement activities, and provide support in data entry and HR reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience in a fast-paced HR environment and develop a strong understanding of human resources practices.

The HR Intern should be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn about the HR field while contributing to the smooth operation of the HR department.

Qualifications

Interest in HR: Strong interest in Human Resources with a desire to learn about HR practices, policies, and procedures.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees and external candidates professionally.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

Confidentiality: Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive employee information responsibly.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with HR colleagues and other departments to support HR initiatives and meet team goals.

Time Management: Ability to handle a variety of tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of HR software or HRIS systems is a plus.

Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to changing HR processes and work with diverse teams.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling employee documentation, data entry, and HR reports.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and propose simple solutions under the guidance of senior HR team members.

Relevant Academic Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.

  • Interest in HR Functions: Familiarity or coursework related to recruitment, employee engagement, training and development, or performance management is a plus.
