About the role:
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the ICT Finance and Shared Services Manager leads the development and coordination of the department's contributions to the State Budget process, including departmental, divisional and shared services budget processes, by working closely with executive leadership, departmental divisions, key stakeholders and ministers' offices to shape high-impact budget submissions and strategic deliverables.
This role is responsible for all operational and financial functions of the Enterprise Technology Branch, which includes managing system processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective technology services across both the department and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), via shared services

Are you able to demonstrate:
- Leading the development and implementation of systems and processes that support the effective execution of the State Budget process across the Enterprise Technology Branch, ensuring consistency, transparency, and accountability.
- Providing strategic leadership and oversight of the Department's contributions to the State Budget process, including departmental, divisional and shared services budget processes, by working closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), eHealth and department executives, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with government priorities and fiscal constraints.
- Operating with a high-level of integrity and discretion when managing confidential and sensitive information, ensuring compliance with governance and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with government, eHealth, and ETB strategies and policies, including adherence to the PDM and other endorsed methodologies,
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise
Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary or post-graduate qualification in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance or a public policy area is desirable.
- A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field such as health or public policy is highly desirable.
Specialist Expertise
- Demonstrated knowledge of government budget processes and associated deliverables is highly desirable, particularly within a health or public sector context.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, develop evidence-based insights, and draw clear, well-reasoned conclusions are highly valued.
- While prior experience in leading a small team is not essential, it is considered advantageous.
