About us:
Smeg is an Italian home appliance manufacturer formed in 1948 by the Bertazzoni family and is based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia in the North of Italy. In 1986, the Smeg brand was introduced to Australia in its own right, with exclusive distribution rights then being granted to the company. Since then, the Smeg brand has become a household name in Australia for premium cooking and kitchen appliances, and in January 2011 the franchise was reinstated into the Smeg Group as a wholly owned subsidiary known as Smeg Australia Pty Ltd.
About the role:
Promotions & Campaigns
· Plan and execute trade promotions and campaigns in line with divisional sales and marketing objectives across Retail, Commercial, Professional, and La Pavoni.
· Manage the Trade Marketing Calendar, coordinating campaign timelines, assets, and approvals.
· Lead end-to-end promotion delivery, including:
o Drafting terms and conditions.
o Developing in-store POS, trade presenters, and digital materials in collaboration with the Graphic Designer.
o Managing upload and activation across Smeg digital channels and agency portals.
o Coordinate internal and external communication, ensuring sales teams and retail partners are fully informed.
o Conducting post-campaign analysis and reporting.
· Act as the point of contact for retailer catalogues and eDMs (print and digital), working closely with Product Marketing and National Account Managers.
Fixtures & In-Store Displays
· Support the Head of Marketing and Product with the design, approval, and installation of in-store fixtures and displays.
· Coordinate the annual fixture planning cycle with the Sales leadership team.
· Manage display movements, updates, and photographic documentation in AS400 and the shared library.
· Oversee external partners for display design, joinery, printing, and installation, ensuring on-brand execution and adherence to Smeg display guidelines.
Point of Sale & Printed Collateral
· Strategise, develop, and manage the production and distribution of all POS materials and in-store campaigns, including both evergreen and promotional assets.
· Manage all aspects of ticketing and price ticket creation and distribution.
· Conduct quality checks and store visits to ensure consistency and compliance with brand presentation standards.
Retailer & Partner Engagement
· Maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, attending regular meetings to align on trade opportunities and collaborative campaigns.
· Undertake regular store visits to assess execution, gather insights, and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Collaborate closely with sales representatives to ensure seamless delivery and communication of all trade marketing initiatives.
Budget & Administration
· Prepare and track project budgets, raising commitment numbers and coding invoices in AS400 for approval.
· Manage agency coordination and workflow across partners including SAPP, Finecut, TFI, IVE, and others as required.
· Develop clear and compelling presentations to support trade marketing initiatives and stakeholder updates.
Key Performance Measures:
· Execute promotional and display materials in line with budgeting requirements
· Executes promotions in a timely manner as outlined by the marketing calendar, working to a 12-week lead time
· Delivers on evergreen Point of Sale requests in a quarterly cycle as required by the Sales, Product and Marketing teams.
· Lead and attend regular WIPs separately covering agencies, joiners and key stakeholders as part of end-to-end coordination of displays and fixtures.
