Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and support Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions for enterprise and SMB clients.
  • Provide senior-level troubleshooting and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Automate infrastructure deployments and configuration management using
    Terraform
    and other IaC tools.
  • Work with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
  • Implement and manage
    Azure Front Door, API Management, Databricks, and Application Gateways
    .
  • Configure, secure, and optimise
    Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
    , including
    Palo Alto, Alteon, or Azure Application Gateway
    .
  • Ensure cloud solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Monitor, optimise, and enhance performance, availability, and cost-efficiency of cloud workloads.
  • Collaborate with customers to translate business needs into technical outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Maintain clear documentation of designs, processes, and procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and communication to clients.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong expertise in
    Microsoft 365
    (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Security & Compliance).
  • Proven experience with
    Azure services
    (VMs, Networking, Storage, Entra ID/Azure AD, App Services, SQL, Kubernetes, Security).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Azure Front Door, API Management, Databricks, and WAF solutions
    .
  • Experience managing
    Palo Alto, Alteon, or Azure Application Gateway WAFs
    .
  • Excellent
    troubleshooting skills
    for complex cloud and infrastructure challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Terraform
    (IaC) for automated deployments.
  • Familiarity with
    DevOps practices
    and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of
    cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks
    .
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
    .

Desirable (Nice-to-Have)

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g.,
    Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    ,
    Azure Administrator Associate
    ).
  • Experience with large-scale hybrid environments and migrations.
  • Knowledge of
    ASD Essential Eight, IRAP, ISO 27001
    or similar frameworks.
  • Exposure to
    Power Platform
    (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
