About the Role

As a Junior Systems Engineer, you'll be involved in a wide range of tasks, from frontline support to project work. You'll work closely with senior engineers to deploy, manage, and maintain core Microsoft services, ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide
  Level 2 technical support
  for clients' cloud and desktop environments.
• Assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of
  Microsoft 365 services
  (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).
• Manage device enrolment, security policies, and application deployment using
  Microsoft Intune
  .
• Support and troubleshoot
  Windows Desktop
  and basic server operating systems.
• Monitor, manage, and optimize services within
  Microsoft Azure
  .
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Act as a professional and clear communicator, guiding clients through technical resolutions.
• Attend customer sites
  for on-site support, installations, and project work as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn, takes ownership of challenges, and can communicate effectively with both technical colleagues and non-technical clients.

Essential Technical Skills & Experience:

• 1+ years of experience
  working in a technical support or similar IT role (MSP environment experience is a plus).
• Strong foundational knowledge of the Microsoft Stack,
  including:
• Microsoft Azure:
  Basic resource management (VMs, networking, monitoring).
• Microsoft 365 / Office 365:
  Administration, user management, and core application support.
• Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager):
  Device enrolment, application packaging, and security policy management.
• Windows Desktop (Windows 10/11):
  Advanced troubleshooting, deployment, and configuration.
• PowerShell:
  Basic scripting skills for automation and reporting.
• Networking Fundamentals:
  Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic firewall concepts.
• Identity Management:
  Experience with Active Directory (on-premises and Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Backup & Disaster Recovery:
  Basic knowledge of cloud and local backup solutions.

• Exceptional Articulation:
  The ability to communicate technical information clearly, professionally, and concisely—both written and verbal—to all levels of client and staff.
• Holds a current Australian Driver's Licence and has the ability to drive and attend customer sites independently.
• Must be an Australian Citizen (mandatory due to client security requirements).
• Problem-Solving:
  A logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
• Customer Focus:
  A genuine desire to provide excellent service and manage client expectations effectively.
• Proactive Attitude:
  Eagerness to learn new technologies and pursue relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certifications).
