Regulatory / Compliance Professional – 5-10 years' experience
2 days ago
Lawmee is seeking interest from Regulatory and Compliance professionals with 5-10+ years' experience who are available to complete a 3-6-month contract engagement, with the potential for extension or transitioning to permanent employment – depending on business requirements and the relevant candidate's experience.
Working in one of Australia's largest energy retailers, you'll collaborate with Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and operational teams to interpret obligations, assess compliance risks, and embed regulatory requirements into business-as-usual processes.
Commencing as soon as possible, these opportunities are available ideally on a full-time (5 days a week) basis.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering expert second-line compliance advice across business units.
Leading and supporting regulatory change impact assessments and implementation.
Reviewing breach submissions and manage regulator RFIs and notices.
Contributing to governance reporting, audit preparation, and compliance dashboards.
Uplifting compliance capability through coaching, training, and guidance.
A strong understanding of energy sector regulation (AER, ACCC, ESC, AEMO) or similar regulated industries will be highly regarded.
Ideally, you will be based in Melbourne and willing to attend our client's offices up to 3 days per week to interact with the team and business in person. Remote workers with the right experience are also highly encouraged to apply.
Interviews will be scheduled shortly, with the engagement commencing ASAP. Hourly rates will be based on experience and demonstrated ability to deliver on the brief.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you.
