About us

Globally, energy markets are undergoing rapid transformation, and businesses are evolving to meet the challenges of a net-zero future. At EnergyAustralia, we are proud to be one of Australia's largest energy providers, committed to leading and accelerating the clean energy transformation for all.

Within the Enterprise Risk team, our Regulatory Compliance unit plays a critical role in supporting this transformation. By delivering high-quality compliance frameworks, fostering strong relationships with regulators, and driving continuous improvement, we empower the business to navigate complex regulatory requirements with confidence. Together, we are building a sustainable energy future grounded in trust and accountability.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Engagement Specialist to provide operational support across EnergyAustralia's regulatory engagement and change management functions.

This entry-level role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of regulatory data, the integrity of recordkeeping, and the timely coordination of responses to regulatory bodies. Working closely with the Regulatory Engagement Lead and Leader, you will support the logging and tracking of regulator notices, maintain calendars and registers, and assist with the coordination of independent reviews, audits, and regulatory change activities.

As a key member of the team, you will develop foundational skills in compliance and regulatory engagement, supporting EnergyAustralia's Compliance Management System (CMS) and building your career in a highly regulated sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain registers of regulator interactions, notices, and deadlines.
  • Support meeting logistics, briefings, and documentation packs.
  • Assist with document collation, filing, version control, and formatting.
  • Log new regulatory developments and update the change register.
  • Track consultations, submission deadlines, and maintain calendars of key obligations.
  • Provide administrative support during regulator-initiated audits and independent reviews.
  • Maintain trackers and validate data for reporting and dashboards.
  • Support the upkeep of playbooks, templates, and shared tools used across the organisation.
  • Provide stakeholder and team support through coordination, communication materials, and logistics.

How can you support the clean energy transition

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Certificate or diploma in Business, Compliance, Governance, Law, Risk or a related field (or currently completing a degree).
  • 4 years' experience in a professional services, legal, risk, or regulatory administration role preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of compliance, legal, or regulatory environments.
  • Excellent organisational and document management skills.
  • Basic Excel and SharePoint capability, with experience using tracking tools or systems.
  • Strong attention to detail in formatting, version control, and recordkeeping.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in energy, utilities, or another regulated sector advantageous but not essential.

If you share our passion for a clean energy future for all and want to join us #Doing. Not just dreaming, then
