Are you a seasoned property professional seeking to make a difference in a values-led organisation? The Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of NSW and ACT, is seeking a dynamic Manager, Property Services to join our Property Services Team. This pivotal role reports to the Head of Property Services and serves as the subject matter expert in asset and property management across our diverse portfolio.
About the Role
As Manager, Property Services, you'll drive strategic property initiatives, oversee governance and compliance, and manage a wide range of property transactions. You'll also lead small to medium capital works projects, conduct site audits, and provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead property governance and approval processes in line with Church regulations and statutory requirements
- Manage budgets and capital works programs
- Oversee heritage properties, cemeteries, and crematoria
- Conduct site audits and risk assessments across metro and regional locations
- Provide expert advice on leases, development applications, and property agreements
- Mentor and coach the Property Partner (direct report) to foster continuous improvement
- Identify and support grant and funding opportunities
- Collaborate with congregations, presbyteries, contractors, and regulatory bodies
About You
You're an experienced property professional with strong governance, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. With a strategic mindset and deep asset management knowledge, you lead complex property initiatives with a collaborative approach and foster trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in asset/property management
- Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice or equivalent
- Exceptional ability building strong partnerships, driving collaboration, and navigating change to achieve goals
- Strong project management and governance skills
- Experience with heritage properties, capital works and lease negotiations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities
- Familiarity with WHS and risk management principles
- A willingness to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia
