About the Role

As a HR Business Partner in our North American business, you'll be hands-on, supporting managers and operational teams with all things people. You'll be the go-to advisor, helping navigate HR and IR challenges and ensuring smooth and compliant practices across Canada and the US.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and coaching to managers on day-to-day people management and employee relations issues
  • Leading performance management and disciplinary processes in line with legislation
  • Coordinating Workers' Compensation and return-to-work programs
  • Advising on employment contracts, policy interpretation, and compliance
  • Supporting workforce planning and retention initiatives
  • Building strong connections with frontline teams and managers to understand workforce needs
  • Reporting on HR trends to support leadership decisions

Who We're Looking For

  • A qualified HR professional (bachelor's degree in human resources or similar required)
  • HR experience within fast-paced, operational environments
  • Confident with Australian employment law – bonus if you have knowledge of Canadian/US legislation (not essential, training provided)
  • Someone proactive, adaptable, and excited to take their career abroad
  • A great communicator who builds trust and strong relationships with teams and leaders
  • 2-year commitment with options to extend
