Perth, Western Australia Iron Mine Contracting Full time $120,000 - $140,000 per year

Iron Mine Contracting (IMC) was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing and Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market.

IMC and its associated indigenous Joint Venture partners have been delivering projects to Tier 1 Resource clients including Rio Tinto, Woodside Petroleum, Northern Star Resource and Newcrest Mining amongst others since 2013.

IMC are currently seeking a qualified and experiencedHR Principal to join the growing HR team based in Osborne Park Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful applicant will enjoy a diverse  scope of work in a positive and busy working environment.

Tasks include but not limited to:  

  • Provide generalist HR support and advice to the business
  • Partner with operational and shared services leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Lead the remuneration review process, including salary benchmarking and market research
  • Support leaders by providing advice, coaching across all areas of HR, injury management, employee relations, performance management, organisational culture, remuneration and benefits
  • Contribute to HR project, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Create and support the HR strategy and growth initiatives in the department
  • Lead and support managers with employee related investigations and facilitate discussions, meetings and outcomes
  • Provide injury management coordination and guidance to the business
  • Help foster a high-performing, inclusive culture that supports our workforce and drives business success
  • Maintain the performance management system, policies and practices and provide ongoing support
  • Assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  • Managing internal HR communications
  • Performing other HR related duties as required.

Successful applicant will have:  

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, IR or related studies.
  • Previous experience in broad, HR generalist role either in the Mining and Resources Construction or similar blue collar industry sectors desirable
  • ER/IR Experience is essential
  • Customer service focus and drive essential
  • Experience in case and project management desirable
  • Attention to detail and continuous improvement drive essential
