In our Orthopaedic/Vascular Surgical ward, you'll support patients through their post-operative journey, helping them heal, regain mobility, and return to life. About The Role
As an Enrolled Nurse (Orthopaedic/Vascular Surgical), under RN supervision your core responsibilities will include:
- Wound assessment, dressing changes, and post-surgical care.
- Monitoring vital signs, recognising changes, and escalating issues.
- Administering medications (including IV where endorsed).
- Assisting patients with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living.
- Providing comfort, reassurance, psychological support, and patient education.
- Collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to support recovery goals.
- Participating in continuous improvement and upholding high standards of practice.

About You
You're a dedicated nurse with a keen eye for detail and a heart for surgical recovery care. You communicate clearly, act with empathy, and have the energy to sustain high standard care in a surgical setting.
You'll Succeed In This Role If You
- Hold current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2).
- Possess a Nursing & Midwifery Board–approved qualification for medication administration (including IV).
- Bring practical experience or strong interest in surgical wound care, patient mobility, and post-op recovery.
- Demonstrate effective clinical judgment, organisation, and communication skills.
- Thrive in a team environment, working collaboratively with RNs, physiotherapists, surgeons and allied health.
- Show commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
