What your new job looks like

The Senior Claims Consultant (Major Loss) is an integral part of the CHU claims proposition, driving an outstanding customer experience through end-to-end claims management, delivering market leading loss assessment through quality technical response.

This is a senior role, responsible for handling some of our largest and most complex claims and providing assistance to the Technical Claims Manager. We are ideally seeking a candidate with experience handling 500k + claims

Day to day you will be:

• Manage a portfolio of technical first party strata claims within the Major Loss quantum guidelines
• Adhere to agreed workflow timeframes and SLA's
• Providing risk insights and guidance to the Underwriting team
• Compile regular and accurate reports to the Technical Claims Manager
• Respond to technical queries and referrals from your broker/complainant

We'd love to meet you ….

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

• Minimum 5 years' experience working in either broker or intermediary based insurer environment
• 5 years property claims experience, preferably strata
• Sound working knowledge of claims operations and understanding of quality service standards
• ANZIIF Cert IV or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to think analytically
• Comprehensive experience in dealing with loss assessors, repairers, brokers, strata managers etc.
• Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills
• Experience in providing complaints guidance/training/feedback to the business where required
• Ability to identify trends to ensure continuous improvements in complaint resolution
