Overview
Your Role
Gallagher Bassett are currently seeking a Senior Claims Consultant to join our Specialty Claims team in Sydney.
Working within the Specialty Team, you will work with and report to the
Team Leader,
whilst also engaging with various internal and external key stakeholders. This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis with a hybrid approach of WFH and in our Sydney CBD or Parramatta offices.
How You'll Make An Impact
You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following:
- Apply your specialist technical knowledge to claims of a complex nature
- Interact with and provide instructions to Legal Panel Firms within the required timeframes on all pre-litigated and litigated matters
- Complete case conferencing with claims consultants and attend claims review meetings when required
- Build and develop external business relationships with external networks
- Conducting strategy conferences with all stakeholders when required
- Manage a portfolio of high quantum sensitive claims end to end
- Attend settlement conferences and mediations
- Coach and mentor other consultants as you will act as a senior across your portfolio
- Liaise with various third-party providers including solicitors, barristers and agencies
- Settling claims within client service instructions, company guidelines and delegated authority
- Achieve monthly KPI's as designated by management
- Resolve complaints in accordance with company guidelines
About You
We're interested in hearing from people who possess:
- At least 5 years of claims experience in either public liability, health liability, professional indemnity, CTP claims or workers compensation
- Industry specific ANZIIF qualifications is highly desirable
- Strong exposure to claims involving complex claims management
- Great time management and organisational skills
- Customer Centric approach coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- PC literate - Database and Microsoft Office
