The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (the Commission) is an independent statutory body with responsibilities under Victoria's key human rights laws - the Equal Opportunity Act 2010, the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001, the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 and the Change and Suppression Practice Prohibition Act 2021.

About the Role
Reporting to the Commissioner within the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (the Commission), the Head of Human Rights Solutions is responsible for leading the Commission's Human Rights Solutions service through the on-going development of its strategic direction and engagement strategies, informed by a continuous improvement model.
The role also manages the branch, actively promoting Human Rights Solutions to the Victorian business community and beyond, supervising the Human Rights Solutions team and others involved in the delivery of services and overseeing cross-team collaborations. The Head of Human Rights Solutions is a member of the Commission's leadership team and is actively involved in leadership activities and decision-making.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong working knowledge of Victoria's human rights laws, particularly those pertaining to discrimination, sexual harassment, victimisation and bullying and the ability to represent the Commission in public forums on these issues.
- Substantial experience leading and project managing the development of high-quality consultancy services and leading a diverse team of educators, consultants, researchers and policy experts.
- Demonstrated capability in senior leadership roles or overseeing an internal major change process, including strong people management skills.
- Prior working experience in leading sales and marketing initiatives.
- Deep stakeholder engagement experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in education, management or marketing, or the equivalent relevant experience, is highly desirable.
