As the Head of Engineering, you will be part of the senior leadership team in the Technology Modernisation team, that's doubling down on customer obsession.

Each day, you'll go above and beyond to:

• Lead the tech modernization program by setting the technical vision, aligning with business goals, and driving engineering excellence across teams.

• Balance strategic thinking with execution leadership to build scalable system, high performing teams, and culture of innovation.

• Ensure engineering excellence focusing on platform mindset wherein creation of reusable artifacts should be the primary focus.

• Lead the design and build of the core banking platform vision and strategy, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery of a complex and strategic initiative aimed at transforming the organisation's core banking solution that includes product and ledger systems.

• Define and communicate a compelling technology strategy aligned with business objectives

• Influence architectural decisions for scale, security, reliability, and performance.

• Drive platform modernisation and adoption of emerging technologies where relevant.

We're looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You'll need:

• In-depth experience working in a similar senior leadership role as a Head of Engineering with extensive payments experience.

• Proven cloud experience (Azure and AWS)

• Proven experience in running SRE teams

• Managing and delivering large complex programs containing multiple streams, across multiple regions, with multiple vendors

• Ability to define program milestones and scope including schedule, budget, deliverable quality, workforce planning, procurement, stakeholders, integration and risks/issue

• Platform mindset, reusability and modular components thinking with tech modernisation and product knowledge like lending, deposits, account management

• Sophisticated influencing skills and ability to influence and shape outcomes at an executive level

• Superior stakeholder management skills with demonstrated commercial acumen and leadership experience.
