We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker with Security Officer Background to provide personalised care and assistance an ongoing shift.

The role involves personal care, school routine support, and community access activities. A company car is available for community outings and transport when required.

This position focuses on creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment, promoting independence and confidence in daily life. Due to our client's preferences, cultural awareness and understanding of Pacific Islander traditions and values will be highly regarded'.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, hygiene, and manual handling support
  • Assist with school routines and daily transitions
  • Support community access and recreational activities (company car provided)
  • Deliver behavioural and emotional assistance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication
  • Foster a caring, safe, and culturally respectful environment

Essential Requirements

  • First Aid Certification
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Police Check
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • Full Australian work rights

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Security office background
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities
  • Knowledge of NDIS standards and person-centred support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility for morning shifts (potential for full 8-hour shifts)
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy at all times

Job Details

  • Type: Casual / Contract
  • Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Morning shifts (potential to extend to 8-hour shifts)
  • Days: Monday to Sunday
  • Location: Eastgarden, NSW
  • Work Setting: In-person
  • Transport: Company car available for community access
