URGENT HIRING – Disability Support Worker - Fairfield

What You'll Do:

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll be providing practical, emotional, and social support to individuals with a range of support needs, including those with mental health conditions and behaviours of concern.

Your day might include:

  • Personal care & daily living assistance
  • Community engagement and social outings
  • Supporting clients to attend appointments or go shopping
  • Light domestic duties (cleaning, meal prep)
  • Supporting participants with employment or learning goals
  • Behaviour management and empowerment
  • Building independence and confidence in real-world settings

What We're Looking For:

  • Female Support Worker at the request of the participant (If you are a male - please see other jobs we have listed)
  • Experience with children with disabilities
  • Experience with Seizures
  • Experience with Behaviour Support Plans
  • A strong commitment to person-centred support
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • A genuine, compassionate, and professional attitude
  • Experience supporting individuals with disability or mental health needs (Especially Children)
  • Flexibility to travel locally

Requirements (Required or be willing to obtain):

  • Valid Driver's Licence & Reliable, Insured Vehicle
  • Work Rights in Australia
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Manual Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support/ Disability Services/Community Services

Pay: $32.56 – $36.23 per hour

  • Do you have a Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care or Community Services (Or Equivalent?)

Licence/Certification:

  • NDIS Workers Clearance (Preferred)

  • First Aid and CPR Certificate (Preferred)
  • Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence and Car Insurance (Preferred)
