About the role

Allspec Homes Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Draftsman & Kitchen Designer to join our team in Sans Souci, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in the design and planning of high-quality residential properties.

What you'll be doing

  • Produce detailed architectural and design drawings for residential properties using CAD software
  • Design custom kitchens and other interior spaces, incorporating client preferences and industry best practices
  • Work closely with project managers, builders and clients to understand requirements and deliver exceptional design solutions
  • Prepare design presentations and proposals to effectively communicate ideas
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies and building regulations
  • Collaborate with the wider design team to ensure a cohesive, high-quality end product

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Draftsman or Kitchen Designer, ideally within the residential construction industry.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Cabmaster or Mosiak joinery software.
  • Excellent understanding of residential design principles, building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to translate client requirements into functional, creative and aesthetically pleasing designs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • Keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions.
  • Successful candidate will be required to demonstrate kitchen design capabilities.

  • Minimum 2-3 years' proven experience as a Draftsman or Kitchen Designer, ideally within the residential construction industry
  • Relevant qualification in Building Design, Interior Design, or equivalent trade certification
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with appropriate work rights
  • Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport for site visits
