We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Elevator Draftsman / Engineer to join our dynamic team. This unique role combines technical drafting expertise with engineering knowledge, providing end-to-end input into the design, documentation, and delivery of elevator systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and technical layouts for elevator installation modernisations.
  • Support engineering calculations including loads, rail forces, pit reactions, and compliance to standards (AS1735, EN81, NCC).
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, builders, and consultants to ensure accurate design integration.
  • Review and interpret architectural/structural drawings to align with elevator specifications.
  • Assist in producing engineering reports, equipment schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory codes, safety requirements, and client specifications.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in elevator/escalator drafting and engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant standards (AS1735, EN81, NCC).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar).
  • Construction industry White Card preferable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and technical attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
