We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Elevator Draftsman / Engineer to join our dynamic team. This unique role combines technical drafting expertise with engineering knowledge, providing end-to-end input into the design, documentation, and delivery of elevator systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and technical layouts for elevator installation modernisations.
- Support engineering calculations including loads, rail forces, pit reactions, and compliance to standards (AS1735, EN81, NCC).
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, builders, and consultants to ensure accurate design integration.
- Review and interpret architectural/structural drawings to align with elevator specifications.
- Assist in producing engineering reports, equipment schedules, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory codes, safety requirements, and client specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in elevator/escalator drafting and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards (AS1735, EN81, NCC).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Construction industry White Card preferable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
