The role

The Sustainability Manager at Crown provides strategic leadership and subject matter expertise in all matters related to Energy, Water, and Waste. This role is pivotal in driving sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and fostering a culture of conservation and continuous improvement across the organisation
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of energy and waste conservation strategies aligned with Crown's sustainability goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Energy, Water, and Waste service providers.
  • Manage and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to support continuous improvement and environmental stewardship.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of engineering building services, including large air conditioning systems, boilers, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for resource efficiency and cost savings through data analysis and system reviews.

About You

You'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or building services within a large, complex organisation.
  • Proven experience managing energy, water, and waste systems, including compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives.
  • Ability to organise your day and meet operational targets
  • Comfortable working across different departments and adapting to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration
