Construction Estimator – Sydney NSW | Contract Role | WFH + Site Visits

PRECONX is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing Team. This is a contract, per-project role, suited to an estimator with proven capability across $1M to $15M tenders who can deliver both technical accuracy and client-facing confidence.

This is not a back-office role. You will represent PRECONX with clients, subcontractors, and project teams where clear communication and professionalism is non-negotiable.

What you will do:


• Prepare and deliver detailed cost estimates, BOQs and trade packages.


• Lead accurate quantity take-offs and risk assessments.


• Build and maintain strong subcontractor pricing networks.


• Work directly with clients and their project teams to clarify scope, resolve queries and present estimates.


• Ensure structured, compliant and on-time tender submissions.

What we are looking for:


• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in greenfield, commercial construction and civil project estimating.


• Demonstrated success across $1M to $15M projects


• Strong subcontractor relationships in Sydney, 2-3 trade quotes, per trade, will be required.


• Proficiency with estimating software such as CostX, Cubit or Buildsoft


• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar


• Excellent communication skills essential for engaging with clients, consultants and delivery teams
