Full-time contract role | Immediate start available | Potential to extend

We're a Northern Beaches–based furniture restoration and finishing shop, specialising in high-end spray work and detailed restoration of antique, mid-century, and custom furniture. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our team full-time from October through to Christmas — or earlier if you're available.

This is a varied workshop-based role, ideal for someone with general woodwork experience who's confident using tools and enjoys practical, physical work. From sanding and prepping through to helping put pieces back together, you'll be part of the full process — and there's potential to extend beyond Christmas for the right person.

What you'll be doing:

• Paint Stripping, Sanding and prepping furniture for finishing (hand and machine sanding)

• Helping disassemble and reassemble furniture (e.g. chairs, tables)

• Assisting with furniture restoration and finishing tasks

• Masking, cleaning and moving furniture through the spray/finishing process

• Minor furniture and veneer repairs

Essential:

• Experience in a workshop, factory, or similar hands-on environment

• Confident using hand tools and sanding equipment

• Strong attention to detail and care in your work

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

• Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

• Comfortable assisting with deliveries or loading/unloading jobs

Desirable (not essential):

• Experience reassembling or repairing timber furniture/veneer

• Background in furniture making, cabinetmaking, or similar trades
