We are seeking a proactive and reliable Workshop Assistant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will be supporting daily project assembly operations and ensuring the smooth running of workshop activities.

About the Role:

In this position, you will assist the Workshop Manager with overseeing daily operations and maintaining an efficient workshop environment by:

  • Assisting the Workshop Manager in supervising the workshop to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
  • Supporting daily tasks such as checking timesheets, correcting picking errors, sorting picking slips, closing off work orders, and uploading job-related photos
  • Managing the ordering of consumables by liaising with suppliers, the purchasing team, and the accounts department
  • Maintaining workshop tools and updating the tool register to ensure accuracy and availability
  • Performing other reasonable duties as required, as directed by the Workshop Manager or Manufacturing Manager

About You:

  • Valid forklift license (preferred)
  • Experience operating a forklift (preferred) and performing manual handling tasks
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
