About the role
The positions will be reporting to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The duties will include but are not limited to:

Prepare financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) to track performance.

Assisting in preparation of company budget for future planning and comparing projected budget with actual budget to ensure we stay on track
-
Supporting the planning of budgeting and forecasting financial statements for managerial reporting.

Reviewing cash flow statements, providing early notices of any problems as cost over-runs, excessive charges, and potential penalties while maintaining internal control systems.

Assisting in preparing cost estimates for new products and providing support for pricing.

Prepare and reconcile profit and loss, balance sheet and other financial reports including preparation and posting of any necessary adjusting journals

Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends, for internal decision-making purposes

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions (accounts payable and receivable) are recorded with periodic reconciliation and settlement
-
Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations
-
Monitoring and reconciling bank statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
-
Manage payroll entries and ensure compliance by reviewing weekly payrolls, employee benefits, leave provisions accurately and on a timely basis including tax allocation for PAYG and superannuation contribution.

Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

Implementation and administering accounting information systems in accounting software MYOB and Synergy.
About the applicant

Bachelor of Business (B.Bus) or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

At least two years of experience in the accounting field.
-
Proven experience working with MYOB software.
-
Strong experience in Job Costing and project-based accounting.
-
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
-
Strong communication and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
