The BTCT Clinical Data Coordinator position requires a professional clinical support person with a sound working knowledge of data management, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a progressive multi-disciplinary clinical service team. The focus of this position will be to coordinate the collection, storage, management and distribution of clinical data for the Blood Transplantation and Cellular therapies (BTCT) Services team at The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

In particular, the Coordinator will manage the submission of BMT and Cellular therapy (CT) treatment data to national and international BMT clinical registries. The Coordinator will play an integral role in maintaining the integrity of BMT clinical data so that international benchmarks for BMT data management and FACT (Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) accreditation are maintained for the BMT Service.

This position will also manage the delivery of all required start-up, coordination and regulatory activities for transplant and cellular therapy related clinical research trials, including feasibility assessments; budget and contract negotiations; liaising with internal departments; Ethics and Governance applications and ongoing reporting requirements; coordination and database locks.

What you'll be doing

  1. Demonstrated experience in BMT data management
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or previous experience in clinical data management
  3. Knowledge of Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) regulations and guidelines, Good Clinical Practice/ICH Guidelines, TGA guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements
  4. Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  5. Exceptional organisational skills and accuracy in data management
  6. Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures meticulously
  7. Above average competence in the use of computer applications and databases; experience with national and international bone marrow transplant registries and data collection tools
  8. Ability to self-manage multiple deadlines and deliver data query requests on time and with consistent accuracy
