Are you passionate about content creation, social media and email marketing?

You'll be responsible for creating engaging content, managing social media (Instagram, TikTok), and preparing engaging fortnightly email newsletters (EDMs) for two dynamic hospitality businesses. This is a part-time or full-time role with time based at our venues (in Fitzroy & Northcote). There is also flexibility to work part of your time remotely with a schedule of approximately 20-40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:

  • Develop, schedule, and post content on Instagram and TikTok for both businesses.

  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster an active online community.
  • Create and edit visually appealing content (graphics, photos, and videos) to showcase products, services, and brand identity.
  • Track social media performance, analyze trends, and provide insights to improve strategy and engagement.

  • Email Marketing (EDMs):

  • Design engaging email newsletters every fortnight to our customer base.

  • Craft compelling on-brand content that reflects the voice of the brands and promotes products, services, and events.
  • Ensure emails are visually appealing, mobile-friendly, and optimized for deliverability

  • One or more of the following integral skills required:

  • Creative ideation to conceive original campaigns in a noisy segment

  • Hospitality experience that gives you an understanding of how to write about food & the industry
  • Photographic & image editing skills, so you can create mouth-watering content
  • Video & audio editing skills beyond a basic level
  • Graphic design experience
  • Strategic thinking & the ability to action it
  • Paid advertising implementation & sales funnel creation
  • SEO optimization
  • Website & Web page design

  • Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with the marketing coordinator to align social media and email content with campaigns or promotions.

  • Monitor and report on key metrics for both social media and email marketing, suggesting improvements based on data.

About You:

  • Experience:

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts (Instagram and TikTok).

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and creating EDMs.
  • Basic skills in photo and video editing (tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar).
  • A solid understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and engagement strategies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and creativity in producing high-quality content.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team in an onsite environment.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for digital marketing and a proactive attitude.
