Are you ready to use your financial expertise to drive real impact in your community? At Noosa Council, we're looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Financial Services team and support our 10-year capital works program.
This isn't just a finance role, it's an opportunity to partner with leaders, shape strategy, and influence outcomes. You'll transform complex data into insights that guide decisions and make a tangible difference across our organisation.
What you'll do
Partner with leaders to deliver high-quality budgeting, reporting, and management accounting.
Analyse large datasets and develop financial models to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support the delivery of capital projects through robust forecasting, reporting, and financial advice.
Provide training and guidance to project managers and business leaders on financial systems and interpretation.
Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, and grant agencies to ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency.
What we're looking for
Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline (CPA/CA highly regarded).
Proven experience in budgeting, management accounting, and financial reporting.
Advanced financial modelling and ERP system skills.
Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Local government experience is desirable but not essential – if you're passionate about making an impact, we want to hear from you
