Job Title: Financial Strategist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Strategist to join our Financial Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy and providing expert advice on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Partner with leaders to deliver high-quality budgeting, reporting, and management accounting services.
Analyse large datasets and develop financial models to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support the delivery of capital projects through robust forecasting, reporting, and financial advice.
Provide training and guidance to project managers and business leaders on financial systems and interpretation.
Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, and grant agencies to ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline (CPA/CA highly regarded).
Proven experience in budgeting, management accounting, and financial reporting.
Advanced financial modelling and ERP system skills.
Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Local government experience is desirable but not essential – if you're passionate about making an impact, we want to hear from you
