We are seeking a Residential Engineer to join our Housing team in Adelaide. The position is open to candidates with diverse engineering backgrounds, with 3+ years of experience in the field, even without an engineering degree.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
Overseeing the delivery of high-quality solutions in the residential housing market, including single-storey, double-storey, transportable, and pole-frame designs.
Producing and reviewing designs such as site plans, drainage plans, and related documentation.
Reviewing engineering reports and documentation to ensure quality control and support skill development.
Managing client interactions, including setting agendas, capturing minutes, and monitoring feedback.
Attending site meetings with stakeholders like builders, homeowners, and contractors.
Maintaining proactive communication with all stakeholders, including engineers, staff, builders, contractors, and councils.
You will need:
At least 3 years of experience in volume housing.
Experience in designing residential/low-rise structures.
Experience with timber, reinforced concrete, steel structures, and related designs.
Proficiency in engineering software such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass, Toolkit, Inducta (advantageous), RAPT (advantageous).
Ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of Australian standards and building codes, including AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC.
