What will you be doing?
Responsibilities
Ability to lead a high-performance team with high morale (with dotted and or direct line of reporting)
Ability to create in depth WBS with interdependencies and a defined critical path
Anticipates client needs and delivers business-aligned, practical solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen relationships.
Applies structured problem-solving and issue-resolution practices to maintain program momentum.
Build and nurture authentic, trusted relationships with sponsors, business owners, clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
Continued focus on methodologies & deployment process improvements
Creates and delivers executive dashboards, synthesizing program health, achievements and strategic insights.
Deep understanding of Project Management methodologies
Define and implement governance structures tailored to program complexity and stakeholder needs.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills; Develop and execute an efficient internal and external communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team
Drive clarity and progress in ambiguous environments by shaping strategy, guiding decision-making, and navigating change.
Drive project schedule, scope, and milestone performance within the PMO
Effectively create and execute risk management plans
Ensure customer satisfaction and SLA's are exceeded
Ensure profitable and successful execution of all assigned engagements as measured by regional goals and customer feedback
Ensure projects are planned and executed in line with the PMO methodology
Ensure rigor and discipline around postmortem and after-action reviews
Ensures financial performance aligns to program goals and strategic objectives, proactively identifying cost risks and opportunities.
Establishes standardized mechanisms for status tracking, risk monitoring, and performance reporting.
Excellent understanding of issue management and resolution, as well as risk mitigation
Facilitate seamless cross-functional collaboration and decision-making to maintain program momentum and strategic alignment.
Lead delivery efforts to ensure highest quality outcomes for customers in regulated and complex operating environments.
Leverage emotional intelligence (EQ) to influence outcomes, resolve conflicts, and drive stakeholder engagement across complex landscapes.
Maintain regular, executive-level communications, providing transparency on progress, risks, and key decision points.
Manage and analyze profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects
Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and large complex projects with multiple work streams
Recruitment, interviewing, & forecasting staffing requirements
Responsible for creation and maintenance of resource plans ensuring effective resource allocation and distribution across portfolio of projects
Qualifications
15+ years in program/project management, with at least 5+ years leading large, complex, cross-functional IT or infrastructure programs in a Professional Services and/or Managed Services environment
Ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers
Ability to engage with executive stakeholders and translate complex infrastructure programs into clear concise narratives.
Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
Ability to work independently and have good issue resolution skills
Bachelor's degree in business, MBA or related field or "equivalent experience"
PMP, or extended project management experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to roll up disjointed efforts into structured, outcome-driven portfolios.
Demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
Excellent problem solving, and critical thinking skills
Excellent understanding of financial processes; ability to create proformas, track project metrics, forecast future trends, and manage change
Excellent understanding of the contract process; ability to manage contract modifications and take the lead of negotiations surrounding contract scope, cost, and schedule
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
Experience collaborating across internal teams and subcontractor/partner ecosystems.
Experience in a Professional Services environment, leading complex Information Technology projects is required
Experience in effectively influencing and leading personnel and the ability to write business reports in a well-organized manner
Extensive experience with stakeholder management, strategic planning, and change management
