About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resource Lead to join our Assets and Digital team at Essential Energy. As the Resource Lead, you will be responsible for the creation, monitoring, and review of all resource forecasts for our Digital Resources. This role requires a collaborative approach, providing detailed and timely information to enhance the accuracy of Resource Demand Forecasts and facilitate improved decision-making.

This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy's operational footprint with Port Macquarie being the desired location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and review detailed resource forecast plans to ensure technology projects can be feasibly executed with available resources.
  • Monitor and review assigned resource forecast and capacity plans, including data integrity, forecast quality, progress updates, and contingency management.
  • Participate in Steering Committee meetings, maintaining baseline forecasts according to approved changes.
  • Identify and facilitate resolution for Resource Contention.
  • Undertake analysis of resource requirements to ensure forecasted technology projects can be feasibly delivered.
  • Liaise with project delivery stakeholders to improve works delivery efficiencies through improved planning, scheduling, and resource utilization.
  • Analyse planning and forecasting data, identifying efficiency improvement opportunities, and assist with the implementation of approved solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve communication across technology disciplines and business units.

About You

You are an experienced professional with a strong background in resource management, project planning, and stakeholder engagement. You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop recommendations to solve problems. Your communication and interpersonal skills enable you to negotiate and influence stakeholders effectively.

In addition to this you will have:

  • Professional experience in a similar role in a Portfolio Management Office or similar function
  • Experience in the development and establishment of scheduling and dependency management processes and standards in a large corporate organization
  • Experience in using Project Online and developing scheduling reports using PowerBI
  • Demonstrated experience in program and project planning, financial management, risk, and issue management, stakeholder management, and delivery

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Program Management, IT, or equivalent experience.
