About the Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic procurement professional to lead end-to-end procurement activities across diverse portfolios, partnering with stakeholders to deliver innovative supply solutions.
This pivotal role involves developing and managing procurement plans and documentation tailored to stakeholder needs and service objectives. It also requires leading tendering processes, requests for quotes, and panel access while ensuring compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong government procurement experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for compliance, continuous improvement, and collaborative outcomes. They will provide expert advice, training, and support to internal teams on procurement procedures, risk management, and best practices.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, law, commerce, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a procurement role within a government environment.
- Proven ability to manage tender and quotation processes from preparation through to administration.
- Strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in contract administration and supplier performance monitoring, with sound risk management skills.
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent. Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $107,977 to $120,860 depending on skills and experience. Opportunity for performance-based increase available after meeting goals over a 12 month period.
