An opportunity is available for a Manager Finance to join the Finance and Governance Team. The Manager Finance is responsible for providing assistance to the Executive Manager - to ensure Council is managing its finances effectively, and statutory requirements are met. The position is required to manage the operation of Council's Store, manage Council's Revenue function, prepare Council's annual statements, review the financial aspects of Council's Operation Plan and Delivery Program, and preparation of Council's Quarterly Budget Reviews.This position supervises the Finance Officer, Storekeepers, Payroll Officer, Revenue Coordinator and the Finance/Revenue Officer. This position is the principal point of contact for all Departments on internal budgets and income streams.To be successful you will ideally need a University Degree majoring in Accounting or more than five years' experience in a senior accounting position. Experience in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements, Long term financial plans, and budgeting together with well developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills will be highly regarded. You must also hold a Class C Driver Licence. Benefits for you:

Working 76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off (9 Day fortnight)
3 weeks sick leave

Private use of a Council motor vehicle in accordance with Council's Vehicle Leaseback Policy
Employer Superannuation of 12%
Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award
