Financial Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial assistance and support to ensure the effective management of our finances, statutory requirements and budget planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of annual statements and quarterly budget reviews.
- Review financial aspects of our operation plan and delivery program.
- Manage Council's Store operations and revenue function.
The ideal candidate will have a University Degree majoring in Accounting or more than five years' experience in a senior accounting position. They should also possess well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:- University Degree majoring in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- At least five years' experience in a senior accounting position.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Class C Driver Licence.
- A competitive salary meeting market expectations.
- Working 76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off (9 Day fortnight).
- 3 weeks sick leave.
- Financial Assistance with relocation expenses and rental subsidy.
- Private use of a motor vehicle in accordance with Council's Vehicle Leaseback Policy.
- Employer Superannuation of 12%.
