Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial assistance to the executive manager, ensuring that the council's finances are managed effectively and statutory requirements are met.

The key responsibilities of this role include managing the operation of the council's store, managing revenue functions, preparing annual statements, reviewing financial aspects of operational plans and delivery programs, and preparing quarterly budget reviews.

  • Supervise the Finance Officer, Storekeepers, Payroll Officer, Revenue Coordinator, and Finance/Revenue Officer.
  • Be the principal point of contact for all departments on internal budgets and income streams.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree majoring in accounting or more than five years' experience in a senior accounting position.
  • Experience in the preparation of annual financial statements, long-term financial plans, and budgeting.
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A Class C driver's license.
