About the role:
The project Construction Coordinator will be responsible for delivering capital construction projects that are safe, o time and on specification. You will be working with the Construction Coordination Group and Capital Projects Team and you will oversee the contracting partner organisations as they implement a portfolio of plant improvements. This is a 2 year fixed term contract. Specific responsibilities include:

- Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are met
- Implementation of project safety management systems and contractor HSE management plans
- Monitor and supervise contractors to ensure their work is carried out as per the contract specifications, company standards and best practice
- Assist the AGL Project Managers to track project deliverables
- Monitor and report on project risks including HSE, financial, schedule and quality

About You:

- Trade or Engineering qualifications in a mechanical, civil or electrical discipline
- An understanding and commitment to HSE requirements in a heavy industrial / construction environment
- Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Experience coordinating complex projects
- The ability to work in high pressure and completing priority environments

What you bring to the table:

- Site based construction experience overseeing contractors’ project delivery
- Knowledge of current WHS Acts, regulations, codes of practise and Australian standards
- The ability to hold people accountable to meet deadlines and milestones
- An understanding of financial and risk management principles
- The ability to act decisively, honestly and with integrity at all times
