The Role

Boongalla Group are a leading restoration, construction & building maintenance company based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, looking to add an experienced full time Estimator to join our rapidly growing business.

Your key duties will include:

  • Estimating capital and maintenance projects, preparing and tendering of prospective works
  • Prepare and provide variation estimates
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
  • Obtaining product, services and subcontract pricing as required
  • Conduct site inspections and attend meetings with project stakeholders
  • Produce handover materials for project planning and set up
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with both subcontractors, suppliers and clients
  • Pursue business development opportunities with prospective and existing clients
  • Provide additional support as needed

Key Selection Criteria:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Estimator in commercial construction within Australia, particularly with first principle estimating
  • Degree qualified background or relevant trade experience.
  • Experience pricing small to medium commercial construction projects is essential
  • Able to read and interpret architectural drawings and scope of work
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with experience liaising across multiple organisational levels and a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills (including the ability to manage changing and competing priorities)
  • IT literate, with exceptional numeracy skills and an eye for detail
  • Proficient with MS Projects, and experience with Cubit software a plus
  • Current Driver's License
