**Service Lead - Community Safety Strategy & Support**

**About the Position**

As Service Lead - Community Safety Strategy and Support, you'll take charge of strategic planning, community engagement, and business operations, ensuring our services are responsive, forward-thinking, and aligned with our goal of creating a safer, connected City.

You'll empower teams, drive innovation, strengthen governance, and build stakeholder relationships across and beyond the organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary teams focused on strategy, engagement and business support
- Delivering contemporary service models aligned with the City’s Strategic Community Plan
- Building and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation across operations
- Preparing strategic documents, reports, and proposals for executive and Council review
- Facilitating data-driven crime prevention and safety initiatives
- Leading the integration of systems and technology to enhance service delivery

**About You**

You’re a strategic thinker and collaborative leader with a solid foundation in business management and governance processes. You're ready to inspire teams, innovate systems, and engage deeply to improve community outcomes.

The following qualifications and experience are essential for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business
- related discipline or equivalent level of professional experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership in a similar level government, advocacy strategic role
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills in a politically sensitive environment.
- Experience managing complex reforms, operational and stakeholder plans, policy and budgets
- Highly skilled in performance monitoring, continuous improvement, and change management
- Understanding of WHS and risk management principles

**Desirable**:

- Postgraduate qualifications in leadership or management
- Experience in crime prevention, community policing, or relevant safety disciplines

This permanent full-time position is a Level 9A Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $140,090.50 - $189,502.26 gross per annum plus superannuation.

- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia
