**Salary**: $160,000 to $170,000 base salary + super (based on experience)

Working with the Chief People Officer, in this new role you’ll lead the City’s people capability strategy, working across the organisation to shape a future-ready workforce.
This is your opportunity to drive high-impact programs — from leadership development and learning frameworks to diversity, engagement and talent initiatives. You’ll oversee a small team and collaborate with stakeholders to embed meaningful change and deliver a best-in-class employee experience.
Your work will directly influence how the City attracts, develops and retains its people, aligning capability with strategic goals and creating a culture where everyone can thrive.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Lead the design and delivery of learning and development programs
- Oversee leadership development for frontline and emerging leaders
- Drive talent management, succession planning and career pathways
- Manage graduate, trainee and internship programs
- Lead diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives
- Deliver engagement surveys and culture programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to embed capability across the City
- Monitor budgets, metrics and outcomes across all programs
**What You’ll Bring**
We’re looking for a strategic HR leader with:
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of contemporary people practices
- Experience in leadership, learning, engagement and diversity programs
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to coach, influence and drive change across all levels
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR systems
