We are seeking an **experienced** Full-time **Medical/Dental Receptionist** for a busy Specialist Practice located in our Burwood and Parramatta rooms. Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 4.30pm (times can vary) with half day Saturdays once a month. Immediate start. Experience in medical/dental practice and attention to detail is **essential.** Must have typing, computer and interpersonal skills.

**Daily duties include**:

- Greet patients in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and manage incoming calls
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments; operation bookings and issue associated documentation
- Data processing
- Patient invoicing and payments including Medicare, DVA and Defence transmissions
- Reconciling EFTPOS and banking
- Dictation typing of reports and medical correspondence
- Accounts payable
- General office administration duties

**Skills and Experience**:

- **2 years** minimum medical and/or dental reception experience
- Experience using blue chip/medical director software or equivalent software
- Typing
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional customer service skills
- Ability to be empathetic to patients
- Self-motivated, reliable and trustworthy
- Warm and friendly personality, with the ability to remain calm and polite in stressful situations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
