Software Development Lead

Corin is seeking talented Software Engineering Team Lead to join our Technology Innovation team and work on software that help improve patients’ quality of life

Reporting into the Director of Software Engineering, you will work alongside passionate and talented developers in a highly collaborative environment with a flexible work culture. This role will allow you to make a big impact, giving you the opportunity to lead the development of new features and functionality, work on a modern tech stack, and build on your technical and people leadership skills.

As an accomplished full stack developer and engaging leader, you will split your time between development activities and people leadership, this is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone to lead by example, coach developers and encourage knowledge sharing. Essential components to achieving this are delivery and estimation planning, building technical best practices and capabilities, and creating an innovative and engaging culture. You will be working within a small dynamic team that has a high impact.

**What you will be doing**:

- Drive technical implementation by writing and reviewing code and provide technical leadership in a fast-paced innovation-focused environment
- Collaborate with the team to design robust technical solutions that achieve business outcomes
- Set up and run ongoing feedback sessions and initiatives to foster a healthy code review and knowledge sharing culture
- Own the design and implementation of standards, procedures, and methodologies to maximise the effectiveness of the SDLC
- Act as an escalation point for internal stakeholders
- Mentor and proactively manage team members with respect to professional development, succession planning, career objectives, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel
- Assist with gap analysis and maintenance of software technical documentation to ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO27001/IEC 62304/13485)
- Acting as a thought leader, champion adoption and implementation of industry leading best practice

**To be successful, you will need**:

- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline
- 5+ years’ commercial experience in developing and deploying enterprise solutions, with Microsoft Azure technology stack preferred
- 5+ years' experience using technologies such as C#, Javascript, SQL and NoSQL databases, and front-end frameworks like Angular / React
- Expert in RESTful API design and development
- Strong knowledge and experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Azure AD B2C
- This role requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both team members and senior internal stakeholders
- Strong understanding of secure coding standards and security protocols, in particular ISO27001, GDPR and PCI-DSS
- PowerBI embedded experience highly regarded
- Ability to prioritise a multitude of workload and competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Creative, strategic, and thoughtful hands-on leader with a can do leadership approach
