**Your new company**

A well-known local council, they are one of Australia's fastest-growing and culturally-diverse communities. They are home to almost 260,000 residents. Spanning a total area of 504 square kilometres, they are located in Melbourne's northern fringe. It is made up of a vibrant mix of contrasts including new and established residential areas, major industrial and commercial precincts and vast expanses of rural areas and parkland.

**Your new role**

Reporting into the Strategic Communications Manager, this is an important role where you'll be looking after all things internal communications for the council.
- Manage the council's internal communications channels, including intranet, newsletters, internal events and promotions, as well as traditional comms collateral development
- Lead the development of strategic internal communications campaigns and projects to raise awareness of key council projects, including an upcoming intranet redevelopment
- Develop and execute an annual strategic internal communications plan for the organisation.
- Deliver a range of critical communications activities to boost staff engagement and interaction
- Manage 2 direct reports (both in the internal comms team)

**What you'll need to succeed**
- People and team management experience
- Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
- Desirable would be some change management experience, ideally with tech and/or organisational change projects
