About the Role
Team Global Express (TGE) are seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Executive to join our Brisbane Sales team. This role will be responsible for identifying and sourcing new business customers as well as seeking share of wallet opportunities with existing customers. You will be joining the organisation during an exciting growth phase, we’re on a journey of winning market share through building strong relationships with new customers and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be required to be in Brisbane once a week.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Win new business with key prospect customers to achieve growth targets.
- Comply with all steps of the GE Sales process from prospecting, qualifying, proposing, negotiating, winning, onboarding and managing the relationship on an ongoing basis.
- Complete a sales plan for each key prospect to illustrate where new business/growth will be acquired to meet growth budget and ensure sign off from all stakeholders.
- Follow the sales onboarding guidelines for all new customers.
- Maximise customer spend by selling across all Global Express products and services for new and existing business.
- Deliver market insights to develop industry specific value propositions for target industry sectors.
- Maintain an effective pipeline of new business prospects to achieve set targets.
- Report to the _Sales Manager - Qld_ and all business stakeholders as required.
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with all cross functional stakeholders.
- Establish competitor information profile and report back on market findings with commercial proposals.
- Regular and accurate records maintained in the CRM (Salesforce)
About You
Are you a proactive Business Development Manager that is looking for a new challenge? Maybe you have a wealth of experience in another industry and you have been looking for an opportunity to get into logistics. This could be the perfect role for you. As a self-starter you will have a passion for sales, hitting targets, building relationships, supporting customers and challenging the status quo. You will also enjoy researching your market to ensure you identify any gaps and additional opportunities. A good mix of being a hunter and a farmer with a slant towards hunting will see you succeed in this role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in the Transport industry ideal but not mandatory
- A self-motivated and result-oriented individual,
- Passionate for sourcing new business while creating solutions to our customers.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Team player, energetic, competitive but supportive of others.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
