Manager Returnable Packaging Support

Team Global Express (TGE) are seeking the support of a high calibre Returnable Packaging Support Manager to join our team based in Karawatha QLD.

As the Returnable Packaging Support Manager, you will monitor the performance of Intermodal & Specialised (I&S) Returnable Packaging team and ensuring the equipment control system (2iC) is up to date and accurate, reviewing the reconciliation and supplying feedback and support to your team for improvements and corrective action.

You will be required to provide the Returnable Packaging Management team and the EGM and GM of I&S Operations with detailed reports on the returnable packaging reconciliation, monthly performance, coupled with an explanation of variations supported by graphical analysis for I&S.

You will also be required to identify any areas for improvement and work closely with National RP Capability & Support Manager to implement the necessary changes required to enhance existing processes. This will include and not limited to drive a focus on pallet management and accountability across I&S, minimise pallet loss through following end to end process and constant monitoring and improvement in pallet control.

Strong change management skills are considered essential to this role, this includes your ability to analyse, report, identify improvements and subsequently work with your team and Senior Management across in I&S to implement improvements and be receptive to open conversations pertinent to effective change management.

To be successful in this area you will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively continue to raise the culture of returnable packaging control within I&S as well as train and develop your direct reports to become successful in meeting KPI targets, ultimately reducing the overall cost of hire equipment and reduction of exposure of lost equipment to the network.

Primary skills and responsibilities:

- Maintaining and developing control and measurement procedures for returnable packaging.
- Routine reporting on all equipment hire and equipment management results within established deadlines and KPI’s.
- Management of the returnable packaging team for I&S, whilst working in close co-operation with other local internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Working with all I&S sites and the National RP Capability & Support Manager to effectively ensure the completeness and accuracy of all returnable packaging movements for I&S.
- Explain variations in reconciliation supported by graphical analysis.
- Provide support and advice to all I&S sites on how they can improve their Returnable Packaging position.
