As one of the leading educational institutions in Brisbane, this private school seeks a Maintenance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

**Your Role**

Reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, this role is responsible for assisting around the school to ensure the grounds and facilities are kept in safe and working order.

Each day will be different and may include:

- Assisting in the setup/packup of assemblies and school events;
- Maintaining the gardens, lawns and ovals;
- Collecting and directing equipment and deliveries;
- Assisting with managing traffic and pedestrian safety within the school grounds;
- Undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and handyman tasks;
- Upholding a helpful and respectful demeanour as a representative of school staff.

**About You**

While a trade qualification is not essential, this role will require someone with general handy-man knowledge and ability to undertake small repairs (painting, plastering, welding, carpentry, and plumbing maintenance), as well as physical ability to move furniture and bulky items.

An unrestricted C class drivers' license is required. as well as as a current Blue Card for Working with Children or ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
